City Of Whittier

The 60-foot City Hall Tower is now illuminated with an energy-saving LED light system, designed and installed by RAY-LITE Energy Management Group Inc. of Brea. RAY-LITE’s president, Christopher Tammen , worked with Brian Pertoff, the city’s facilities manager, to find an energy and cost-effective way to illuminate the tower.

“Brian Pertoff challenged our team at RAY-LITE with three objectives,” Tammen said. “First, to restore the architectural lighting design to its original form. Second, to adopt a green and energy-efficient technology that would reduce maintenance costs. Finally, to create an eye-catching architectural display that can be programmed to define the Whittier seasonal methods.”
